A woman that knows all about the shoe-biz is Dannii. She posted a picture on twitter from a photoshoot.
Lots of sky high dreams there as the picture shows a collection of mighty fine shoes.

Among the sparkly shoes are Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, one of D's favourite shoe designers, Prada and Christian Louboutin.

The sky high heels are a bit of Dannii's trademark and she isn't often seen in a public event without them. Less than 10cm is a big no-no if you want to have the Disco Shoe Factor.

Looking at some of the diva's shoes over the years, it's easy to have shoe envy.

Fibre Lash feat. Dannii

Updated Earlier this year Dannii teamed up with Australian beauty brand ModelCo. The Aussie stunner became the international face of their Fibre Lash product which was an instant success. Launched @ U.K Boots stores it was sold out in no time and was given raving reviews by fashionistas.

There is a preview ad out which will shortly be replaced by a full length ad, filmed just weeks ago in Sydney.

Dannii & Tabitha have had another successful year with their Project D label. Next year the designer pals are planning on expanding their collection by adding shoes & accessories. If all goes well you will soon be able to buy perfumes, shoes & handbags to go with their beautiful creations.

Dannii hasn't been much in the public eye, only doing a few promo gigs here and there but her short brunette hair is still a hot topic and many fashionistas have taken the scissor and cut off their long locks. One girl who's had long red hair since she was 12 said: It felt so good! I love showing off my neck now.

Dannii who is the face of ModelCol also filmed a commercial for their Fibre lash product - out soon. The diva is a big fan of the Aussie brand and said she was thrilled to be asked to do it.

Dannii - My Style

On September 29 Dannii is realesing her first fashion book called 'Dannii - My Style'. The purpose of the book is to help others find their style and that we all have a Style Queen inside of us waiting to come out. The trick is to find her and maybe with the help of this style icon you will.
Dannii says it has taken her a long time to find her style and perhaps it's connected to finding yourself which makes it also a trip into the soul.

The book will be available in both U.K and Australia (October 1) and in the U.K the diva will do 3 signings. They are:

S/S press launch
A low key Dannii touched down in London just a few hours ago, and she went straight back to work.
Busy busy busy, Dannii and Tabitha have been preparing their S/S 12 launch of Project D.

Earlier today the two designer pals popped up on twitter giving a little sneak peek of what was going on on the PR day.

This evening it was time for the press launch and as the diva posed with Tabs and the models, she was looking hotter than ever. Wearing a midnight blue dress with sky high heels Dannii was oozing class. And you just know that short hair is now the new 'it'.

Both Disco & Tabs are wearing a Project D dress from their collection.

Dannii cuts it

Dannii arrived at the Melbourne Spring Fashion Festival opening party, dipped in gold. The Style Queen was oozing glitz and glamour but it wasn't her fashion that caught everyones attention.

Her iconic hair was for the night a sleak do that she stepped on the red carpet with. And it got the net buzzing again.
Fans approve the new hair style with comment such:

She is unbelievably stunning. Her features are so striking, I would kill to look like her!

Short hair suits her pretty face, she looks stunning!

I don't think it's shorter, just slicked down with wet-look gel. Either way though, she wears it well!

New collection is really super

In september the autumn/winter collection of Project D is out in the shops. Themed models the dresses are named Tyra, Christy, Elle, Kate to name a few.

The dresses are a mix of prints, solid colours and in all kinds of shapes.
Some of them have already been spotted on celebrities such as the Daria, Freya and Lily.

Dannii is on the cover of this weeks Grazia magazine in Australia. The stunner from down under is the face of the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week and we are given a little sneaky peek of what to expect.

In the interview the Style Queen says she is looking forward to celebrating her 40th birthday - or her midlife crisis as she calls it. So she will bring out the rock chick in her with lots of short skirts and sequins!

For the last part of Australia's Grand Final bella Danielle was a vision in a nude silk dress by Perth designer Aurelio Costarella. The flowing dress made it look as if she was floating.

Dannii has worn the designers clothes on X Factor, Got Talent and various photoshoot and will also be showcasing the pieces in the MSFW in september.

Dannii & Kris popped up to support the Million dollar lunch charity event @ Crown in Melbourne. The Style Queen was giving a little taster of what's to come, wearing a silver/black tight-fitting dress from the upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

The diva matched the outfit with black accessories. High pumps and a Tabitha clutch with circle hoop earrings which showed off her new pixie cut. The collection will be presented during the upcoming fashion weeks.

In 2008 Dannii was the headline act of Sydney's Rosemount Fashion Week, entertaining the fashionistas with her Disco moves. This year she is back in style as Melbourne Spring Fashion Week has announed the diva as the face of the 2011 campaign.

Dannii who will get to showcase her own design label Project D said:

Fashion is something that takes up a lot of my time, between juggling a baby and TV commitments, but it's something that I am very passionate about. I'm honoured to be a part of it.

It's just an absolute pleasure and it's the cherry on top to be in Melbourne and be doing things with my fashion label. It's been amazing to be involved with the whole event, the people that I've met and everybody's insights to Melbourne and how the fashion event brings Melbourne to life is brilliant.

Lord Mayor Robert Doyle was more than happy to welcome Melbourne's sweetheart onboad the team:

When Dannii and I discussed the possibility of her being ambassador, I was impressed by her enthusiasm about promoting design, fashion and style in Melbourne.

During the launch the Style Queen said that neon is back, wearing a stunning chunky neon bright necklace herself to match the colourful models. Dannii was dressed in Project D A/W 2011.

The fashion event runs from September 5 to September 11.

It's also been said that Disco and Tabs will be showcasing their S/S 2012 collection @ the London Fashion Week, also in September. A newspaper journalist quoted Tabitha saying she was 'thrilled'.

Starstruck

Dannii & Tabithas latest Project D collection is out now. The pre-fall range of their label will for sure give the two designer pals even more femals admires. Celebrities have been seen in their creations and there are many fans of the designs.

But Dannii was starstruck herself when iconic designer Valentino knocked on her door at the 7th series of X Factor in 2010. The Style Queen wore the 'Tinsel' dress from the Holiday collection which impressed the designer. In this weeks Grazia magazine she recalls the moment:

Yes, Valentino! Himself. The Last Emperor. That Valentino! He came backstage afterwards and said he really admired my dress. The room almost started spinning. I wasn’t sure I had the guts to own up to it being my own work. In the end, I did and he was so gracious. It was an absolute moment!

This weekend it's another Royal Wedding with Prince Albert of Monaco marrying his Charlene Wittstock. One of the new dresses is called 'Monaco' so what could be more fitting for a royal wedding than this gorgeous dress?

Project D's Got Talent

The pre-fall collection of Dannii & Tabitha's label is out in June. Famous places is the the theme with dresses such as New York, Tokyo & Monaco. But Dannii has already given us a sneak peak of the newest Fall collection. First she wore 'Freya' to the pressday of Project D in the U.K and now on Australia's Got Talent. On stage she wore the Daria dress from the fall collection and in the VT she opted for Anya from S/S. The red Daria was modelled by tennis star Elena Baltacha who posted a pic on FaceBook.

New do

Dannii has another new do and this time it's shorter again. She first cut it off while working on her book 'My Style' out this autumn, but it was on Got Talent where she really showed it off. Shorter on the sides and longer in the front. Her famous hair also also back to being brown again.

Dannii & Tabitha are continuing to attract celebs with their label Project D. Rising British tennis star Elena Baltacha is the next in line. She has been given a couple of dresses which she plans to wear on the pre-Wimbledon party coming up soon.
On her Facebook she posted pictures of the dresses from the ladies label: Daria, London (in two colours) Vesper & Jinx.

Another fan of the dresses is Jenni Falconer who opted for the S/S Valenka dress at the BAFTA's.

Tabitha also revelaed that she had bumped in to Movie star Kate Hudson and given her a dress. Dannii & Tabitha are big fans of the Hollywood star and would be thrilled to see her in their creations.

Pre-fall full of grace

In Who magazine's most beautiful people issue Dannii poses in her and Tabithas Project D. On the cover she is wearing the Domino dress from the S/S range in cream. Inside she gives a preview of the pre-fall D-lights by wearing the Monaco dress in grey.

The new collection is named after big cities and famous places. Dannii revealed that one of her style inspirations comes from movie star Grace Kelly, later known as Princess Grace of Monaco which might explain the name of the dress. Like Grace, Dannii's style is classy and there is a thought behind every detail. Just as women watch 'Rear window' mainly to see the fashion parade with fashion icon Grace, they tune in to the X Factor to watch their Style Queen Dannii.

It's only been 2 days but everyone is already talking about that body and that dress. Dannii who wore Herve Leger on her appearances on Tuesday, showed off her knockout figure with the famous bodycon dresses. The diva is a big fan of the designer and has worn the dresses before.

For her pal Terry Ronald's book launch she opted for Aussie surf-chic classy wearing the 'DOMINIQUE SIGNATURE BANDAGE DRESS' in Bright blue surf.

On both events Dannii let the dresses speak for themselves hugging her curves in all the right places wearing just a few jewellery pieces and minimal make up.

Dannii already showed off her post-baby body at the Etihad & V Au launch a few weeks ago but since it was down under the Brits wasn't all that aware of the event taking place in Sydney.

Dannii & ModelCo launches Fibre Lash

Yesterday Dannii was unveiled as the international face of ModelCo and thier Fibre Lash products. The Australian brand will have a campaign and partnership with Boots.com in the U.K.

One of the fashionistas present reported:

During the press launch Dannii gave an anecdote about her encounter with a
masseuse who had gorgeous eyelashes and how she couldn’t stop staring at them. She eventually had to ask if they were fake! When she found out that it was the Fibre Lash system, Dannii tried it out herself and has been hooked ever since. But Dannii knew she couldn’t keep the secret to herself and begged Shelley to bring the product over to the UK, which then led to her collaboration with the Australian company. She left us with the following advice: “Don’t run out!”

Fibre Lash is now available for pre-order @ Boots. The Fibre Lash Brush on Lashes kit is priced at £35 and launches exclusively at Boots in mid-June.

Twisted disco

Over the years women (and some men) have asked how to get an easy disco-tastic make up for everyday wear. Fotini Hatzis is an expert in that field but to create a funky look you just need a little bit of imagination.

This picture shows a nude face and a made up face and here is how you can do your own disco rainbow-like make up.

1) Make sure your face is clean and scrubbed.

2) Apply foundation with the help of a spunge.

3) Use a little bit of powder to 'fix' the surface.

4) Start with the eyes by adding a white eyeshadow over the entire eye.

5) Use colourful eyeliners around the eye. Here four different colours have been used.

6) Apply eyeshadow on the eyelid with a brush.

7) Apply mascara.

8) Mark the lips with a pen and apply shiny lipgloss in two layers.

9) Brush the highest part of the cheekbones with a light purple colour.

10) For the final touch use a pen to fill in the eyebrowes and then use a toothbrush to shape them.

And voila! There you have an easy disco-tastic look ready for those neon nights.

New Do

Dannii showed off her new do at the qualifying race of Formula 1 in Melbourne. Created by Fotini Hatzis a few days ago, Dannii has added an edge to that famous bob-cut.

She has kept the two-toned hair colour which looking closely looks like several shades of brown softened with ginger highlights at the the tips. Overall it almost resembles a sunset with its warm tones.

The cut itself is very Dannii. She's known to put an edge to her style, having played with her hair in various funky styles since she was a teenager. This cut is a mix of Put The Needle On It and Who Do You Love Now which were two funky hairstyles from her Neon Nights era.

The diva is currently featuring in the C4 TV reality show 'Great British Hairdresser' and with a willing a to change her hairstyle this often, she is the dream customer for the stylists.

Dannii & Tabitha are not fooling around. They mean business. The newest collection of Project D which is Bond-themed, shows that the designer pals take their fashion label serious.

Promo pictures of the collection has been released. This collection has a lot of colour in it and there is something for everyone. Maxi dresses, short dresses, tops and even shorts.

Tabitha recently praised Dannii for having 'amazing eye for detail' and in a new interview Dannii says it's all thanks to her grandma'.

My Grandma was incredible at making anything so the hum of a sewing a machine was always part of my world from when I was small.

In the interview Dannii reveals that she is very interested in fashion and that she collects as much information as she can. And it all started with those skintight black pants that Olivia Newton-John wore in Grease.

I have loved travelling the world meeting designers and seeing all kinds of fashion. I enjoy studying the history of fashion and going to exhibitions. Seeing the Grace Kelly exhibition in Monaco a few years back was my kind of heaven.

So who are they making their fashion candy for?

Girls/ladies who like me, are always running from one thing to the next, so they need dresses that take any fuzz out of getting it right. I'm always conscious to design dresses that leave room for the wearer to make it their own and feel in control.

We've seen popstars, TV & radio presenters, actresses and models wearing Project D. But tonight it made it's Hollywood debut as Australian movie star Nicky Whelan wore 'Ivy' from the 'Holiday' collection when she attended the premiere of her movie 'Hall pass' down under.

The star looked rock chic in the black dress, matching her Guns N' Roses partner DJ Ashba.

They've just launched the Holiday collection down under, but now it's time to take a look at the brand new Spring/Summer collection by Dannii & Tabitha.

The theme is Bond, or more precisely Bond girls. You've got 'Goldfinger', 'Jinx', 'Natalya', 'Vivenne' and 'Money penny' and the dresses all live up to their famous names.

There's a dress here for everyone. Maxi, short, girly, womanly etc, but there are also tops such as 'Martini' that is new to the label.

Dannii has already been wearing a couple of dresses, like 'Domino black' which she wore on The X Factor and both girls posed proudly in their dresses while promoting the brand in Australia.

Dannii has spent a couple of days in the U.S modelling for Marks & Spencers new S/S campaign. But it wasn't the clothes that were in focus - it was her hair factor combined with accessories.

Winning style

The X Factor final is over and the viewers crowned their King, Matt Cardle and, their Queen, Dannii Minogue.

Some of you might have seen that this year Dannii hired a stylist and she has been tweeting the outfits from the day one till the last show.

Dannii's designer friend's J'Aton & Aurelio Costarella were part of the Fashion Factor and for the Grand Finals, Dannii had a dramatic long wine-red dress by J'Aton Couture.

But for the final she wore a British designer by the name Jenny Packham.
It was in this sparkly dress-dresm that Dannii and Matt won The X Factor and it was also the dress that made her win The Fashion Factor for the second series in a row.

Dannii & Tabitha's Project D was a hit in the U.K and next year they will take their designs down under to Dannii's homecountry Australia to show off their Fashion Factor.

How gorgeous was Dannii's dress on yesterday's X Factor pre-final press conference?
The Emilia Wickstead scarlet red dress made her a stand out to the other judges. When posing with her last boy standing, Matt Cardle, they looked almost as if they were a real couple.

It's the second dress by the The New Zealand-born designer that Dannii has worn. The first time was on one of the X Factor live shows where she went for a animal printed casual-glam dress.

This red dress has a fitted waist, is marked around the bust area and gives a lady like swing with it's bell-styled lower part.

She perfected the dress with the same colour on the lips and with a glamorous chic do.
Accessories were Brian Atwood superhigh pumps and small hoop earrings.

One of the things this lady can't live without is her sunglasses. Like her new favourites.
She's a catlover and has herself blue catlike eyes. So it's not surprising to see Disco wearing Mimco's SS11 range, the Catfurther sunglasses.

Dannii is a big fan of Monica Vinader's pieces and when she and baby Ethan were snapped at X Factor rehearsals, she was wearing the Nugget Zodiac Earrings in dark red.

Fashion Factor
Marks & Spencer's golden girl wore two of their designs for Matt's homecoming day in Essex. The wool coat has been a favourite of The X Factor judge since this autumn and was spotted on her as they graced the red carpet right before Matt's gig.

But when they arrived earlier that day, she was seen wearing fake fur jacket, The portfolio Chevron belted jacket.

At the press conference that very same day, she stayed with the British designers and opted for a stylish creamy white dress by LK Bennett.

Next up to be seen wearing Project D is Kylie Minogue.

The pop princess wore the 'Star' dress from the Holiday collection on BBC's 'The One Show' last night.

The designer herself wore the 'Star' dress on her appearance of Paul O'Grady earlier this year and recently Konnie Huq was spotted wearing the dress to the premiere of the newest Harry Potter movie.

So that's one of stars fans wanted to see according to the list published here.

Only two more shows of this series of X Factor and as we're getting closer to the Grand Final, so is Dannii's fashion.

On Saturday she was the lady in red, looking fairy like in a Carla Zampatti dress, super-high Sergio Rossi and stunning pieces of jewellery.

For Sunday's show she was Hollywood modern-glam in Halston. Charlotte Olympia heels and more dazzling jewellery.

But it was the hair factor that was in focus this weekend.

The up-do on Saturday's show made her look angelic.
The twist was a braid which was used as a headpiece.

On Sunday she let her hair down. The D-vine diva looked just like you wish you looked like when you wake up in the morning. Sexy and wild without brushing your hair.

The beauty continues with the nude-glam Make Up and a TV report shows you how to achieve a similar look to Dannii's.

Another important accessory that this woman always wear late November - early December, is the Red Ribbon. December 1 is the World AIDS Day and Dannii once again showed her support for the cause. She was in fact the only judge to wear the ribbon which surprised many.

Forget The X Factor. This year it's been all about the D Factor - Project D.

Earlier this year Dannii launched the dress collection with co-designer and friend Tabitha and a few months later she has won fashonistas over including the legendary designer Valentino.

There are still a few more weeks to go until X Factor is over for this year, but the X Factor judge has already been crowned the winner of the style war.
X Factor's own stylists agrees and told Star magazine:

I definitely think Dannii looks better this season.

Having a baby has given her the sense of being the woman she is, but I don’t like to get involved because they are both really great paragons of beauty for their own age ranges, so comparing them is a bit weird.

Another fan of the Style Queen is Gok Wan. Dannii was guest of thestylist on his show the fashion fix and since then he's been a fan of the lady and her sense of style.

Everyone always asks me who has the better fashion sense between Cheryl and Dannii. I'm mates with Dannii so I'm going to stick up for my girl.
She dresses beautifully. She's just had a baby and look how amazing she looks.

There are very few celebrities who know themselves and know their bodies and Dannii really does.
She never looks nervous in what she's wearing and that's so important.

Heat magazine just named her the Best Dressed of the panel as well as the people's favourite judge of the show after a poll in which over 2000 readers voted on.

They say that people actually freeze the picture on their telly screen as Dannii and her fellow judges walks out on stage. And it's all to see what the glams girls are wearing of course.

This particular lady, the Style Queen, shows off a new look week after week. All different to one another.

On Saturday she went for Gucci wearing a long maxi dress in a soft brown shade. Huge earrings by Annoushka jewellery. A gorgeous ring from Talisman gallery with sky high heels from one of her favourite shoe designers, Giuseppe Zanotti.

Her hair and Make Up was softly dramatic if there is such an expression. Her eyeshadow were in earthly nude shades with long lashes and her lips were pale.

The hair style had the Dannii edge by having a string of hair put diagonal across the head.

For Sunday's result show, she transformed herself to a modern senorita by wearing her own label Project D ruffled dress in black and white. The 'Domino' dress is from the upcoming Spring/summer 2011 collection. But instead of making the look romantic, a slim belt was added around the waist giving it the edge.

Jewellery by Annoshska once again and another pair of Zanotti heels.

Also for this night the Make Up was in soft shades. The lips were pained in a slightly stronger shade than Saturday's, but remained nude.

The two-toned hair was up but unlike Saturday's sleak perfected style, it had a wild touch.

The Fashion Factor

During the weekends X Factor shows, Dannii looked like perfection herself.

For the 6th live show Dannii entered the stage looking like a Greek Goddess. Wearing another Aussie designer, Carla Zampatti, she cemented her role as the Style Queen.
Her hair was styled to perfection as well. Not a hair was out of place. Same goes for the jewellery which had a glowing effect with its turquoise gemstone, highlighting her blue eyes.
The Make Up was soft in warm colours with the focus being the eyes.

On the Result show the day after, Dannii went for casual glam. Instead of the über glam dress factor she opted to dress comfortable wearing, what will most likely be a winter favourite with a lot of women, a dress by Emilia Wickstead. The low key yet classy style is a new twist that she hasn't sported before.

The quiff was back and the Make Up was again focused on her eyes but with a royal blue eyeliner which gave the look the Dannii edge that she is known for.

Her shoes for the weekend were Italian lush by designers Sergio Rossi and Gianmarco Lorenzi.

Dannii and Tabitha's Project D is growing bigger by the minute. Their first autumn/winter collection has been a hit in the shops and they've got celeb fans who've been spotted in their dresses.

Before the launch of the dress project fans made a list of who they tought would be wearing them. So far none of them are correct. Victoria Beckham hasn't returned the favour, at least not yet but did praise Dannii when she wore one of her creations earlier this year on X Factor.
Cheryl Cole didn't wear it for auditions and the biggest surprise is perhaps Kylie Minogue who hasn't been wearing any of the dresses at public events.

Next year Dannii is launching the fragrance and the new collection down under and she's has said she is very excited about it. But Brit fans don't have to worry. The designer pals are doing a singing next week already on November 18 at the Perfume Shop.

Dannii gave us a taster of what's coming up in the Spring/Summer collection which is said to be a bond themed collection . She wore 'Goldfinger' to the Pride Of Britain Awards.

During the week Dannii told the Daily Telegraph that having the support of celebrities is important for the brand.

Dannii attended the Pride Of Britain Awards last night, her first ever event since the birth of her son Ethan. The little prince was at the event with his yummy mum and didn't she look D-vine?

The classy lady was wearing a Project D dress from the Spring/summer 2011 collection named 'Goldfinger'. The Bond themed new collection will be out soon and this stunning piece was a maxi dress with a lace detail.

Dannii is bringing her latest collection down under and once again it's the department store David Jones who is selling the Project D collection.

David Jones is continuing its support of Dannii Minogue's fashion line, stocking the designer collection for a second season.

Called Project D by Dannii & Tabitha, the upmarket cocktail dress offer is created in the UK in conjunction with designer Tabitha Somerset-Webb.

The new collection for winter 2011 will appear in six David Jones stores nationally from February 2011. Locations are Bondi Junction, Chatswood and Elizabeth Street in Sydney, Chadstone and Bourke Street in Melbourne, Rundle Mall in South Australia, Hay Street Mall in Western Australia and Queensplaza in Brisbane.

Themed Holiday, the range features a mix of glamorous evening cocktail dresses and red carpet designs. Lace, satin and silk are key, with one shoulder styles, belts, beading, metallics and bows adding interest. Black, gold, royal blue and graded tones are in the offer.

Retail prices range from $549 to $749.

Not only is the collection coming to Australia but also the documentary 'Style Queen'. The 3 part series which was shown on ITV2 will air in Australia in February. The documentary showed Dannii and Tabitha working on the dress project but also showed Dannii in her other projects like X Factor, AGT, music, Marks & Spencer and TV hosting.

Dannii revealed recently that she's looking forward for the fragrance to be launched in her home country and she wants to be there for the event.

On the Fashion Factor this weekend Dannii first entered the stage wearing a Victoria Beckham dress. Her choice of dress was approved by the designer herself who tweeted that the X factor judge looked beautiful in her creation.

About the Make up Dannii ofted for a warm nude tone with most focus on her blue eyes. Her hair was up in a 60's style. Perhaps a little bit inspired by Barbara Streisand?

The event being held in The Racquet Club in Liverpool in October.

One Day Wardrobe Clearout
Marks & Spencer is launching a one day fashion initiative to encourage shoppers to donate clothes to Oxfam.
The “One Day Wardrobe Clearout” invites shoppers to bring unwanted clothing into its stores on Wednesday 8 September, which will then be given to Oxfam to resell.
Any customers donating M&S branded clothing will be given a £5 M&S voucher to spend.

An advertising campaign, fronted by Lisa Snowdon, will promote the day and M&S brand ambassadors Twiggy, Ana Beatriz Barros and Dannii Minogue have all donated clothes to the scheme which will be sold on Oxfam’s online store.

Wardrobe Clearout day builds on the existing Clothes Exchange partnership between the retailer and charity which sees Oxfam giving M&S vouchers in return for donations of M&S clothes to its charity shops.

The scheme is part of the retailer’s involvement in the Prince of Wales’ START campaign, which aims to help consumers lead more sustainable lives.
M&S hopes to raise £1m for Oxfam and reduce the amount of clothing sent to landfill.

In her last column in Glamour magazine she listed 'colt' as a favourite. And for the Audi Hamilton Island Race Week Barefoot And Black-tie dinner, Dannii wore just that, the colt dress, blinging it up with a belt. Her other accessories were the trademark cocktail ring, her lucky charms and she was giving the photographers of the event that D pose.

We had a few celebrity followers, but they don't normally want to meet in person. I remember frantically tidying the office.
From the minute she arrived we were gossiping. I remember her saying, "I love you – we're going to be friends." I thought, "Hmm. Slightly weird," but I didn't expect to hear from her again. Then the next week she came back and we went out for lunch and it went on like that.
Because of who Dannii is, she has to build up trust with someone, but I think she realised fairly quickly I was in it for the right reasons. I just treated her like anybody else – I'm a bit mean and tease her about her OCD organisation skills, all the usual banter.
If we're just hanging out, we often have side-by-side manicures – we love all that. There used to be more wine involved but that's behind us now she's pregnant. I think it's nice for her because she just does normal stuff with me. We went to Selfridges the other day and she said she couldn't remember the last time she'd been in a department store. It's easy for celebrities to get cut off because everything is brought to you.
If my husband's away and Dannii is in the UK, she cooks for me every evening. I'll swing by her flat and we'll eat and chat. We're joined at the hip during those periods, then she'll go back to Australia for a couple of months so it can be a bit strange. Her lifestyle isn't normal, so you just have to be accommodating of that.
Newspaper stories about Dannii used to make me angry – all that supposed rivalry and bitchiness. She is a real girls' girl. She's driven but not one of those ultra-competitive women – if we're going out she'll do my make-up, lend me things. She doesn't feel the need to outshine everyone.
I'm glad the public perception of Dannii has changed recently. The Marks & Spencer campaign made her feel like she was being embraced by the British public and she was genuinely touched. I love that she still gets excited by it all. She's not jaded.
Working with your best friend on a fashion label is every girl's dream, but it has been hard graft. She is brighter than anyone gives her credit for and she has phenomenal business acumen. I get emails from her at 2am then at 6am again when she gets up – she's like Margaret Thatcher.

Dannii
I was convinced Tabitha was Australian when I first met her. She was telling me all these things you shouldn't tell someone you've just met and she swore quite a lot – I loved it. When I first moved to London I found it quite hard to make friends because British people are so much more reserved than Aussies and I took it as coldness, so I liked that she was so open.
She has this great wild energy about her, and I'm attracted to strong, fearless women like that, so I knew within 10 minutes that we'd be friends. I think I even told her, which is a bit stalker-ish, but with all my close friends it's been instant like that.
I'm not too guarded about making new friends. I think the more you rely on your instincts, the better they get and I've done pretty well so far. We went for a few boozy lunches, then out dancing – we are queens of the booty shake. I remember actually not being able to walk the next day after our first few nights out together.
Back then it was very much the single girls' cocktails and dancing lifestyle – whenever you went to a party at Tabs' there always seemed to be a naked butler. Obviously, it's quite different now she's married and I'm having a baby and it could have been easy to grow apart a little, but working together is a nice excuse to keep spending time together.
Our friendship still feels very strong. In the six years we've known each other I have been through quite a lot, with my sister Kylie being ill and then losing a friend to cancer. I wasn't myself for a long time, and Tabs gave me support but also space. She's a good listener but she knows when to leave things alone, too.
The most stressful thing I've ever had to do was Tabitha's hair and make-up at her wedding. It was a huge responsibility; I had a new respect for make-up artists. I was running around after her for retouches.
We have a laugh at absolutely everything. I naturally tend to take things more seriously than Tabitha, so I love it that she brings out my lighter side. She's very free. I really want her to come to Australia and see where I live, but she says she is scared in case she falls in love with it and doesn't want to come back. I think it could happen; I reckon she's more Australian than I am.

Braids

One the verdict show of Australia's Got Talent, Dannii appeared for the first time on the show wearing her own label Project D. She wore the sequined Casino dress at the launch in Selfridges in London a couple of months ago and opted for the stretchy number on the big night.

Coco Liberace posted proudly that Dannii was wearing their 'double trouble' ring. at only AUD 29,95, it's a real bargain.

Dannii & Tabitha launched Project D @ a glam event @ Selfridges in London yesterday evening. Dannii was wearing one of their pieces 'Casino'. The first collection Autumn/Winter 2010 will be available in shops in June.
Project D will be sold in Ireland from the end of July in Harvey Nichols.
Stockists for Project D - Selfridges from end June, Harvey Nichols, Harrods, My Wardrobe, ASOS from end July.
The range will also be launched in Australia in August by David Jones.

If that's not enough the ladies will launch a perfume and accessories during the coming autumn (do we dare hope for D-shoes?!) and they're already working on a Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

Dannii posted a pic of her shoes that she was wearing for her private book launch dinner party.
They were sparkly 'Dorothy' ruby red shoes in platformed pumps style decorated with a large band over the front part.

If you are of the artistic nature you can make your own glitter pumps.
All you need is a bit of patience and these things:

First you need to buy cheap similar styled shoes on places like eBay
Then depending how you want to create the glitter affect you'll need

- loose powder glitter
For this variant you need time, lot of light,a spunge, and some glue that sticks on fabric.
Cover the parts you don't want to glitterpaint with aluminium foil and start to apply the glue. Then poor the glitter powder on a piece of paper and dip the spunge with glitter. Smudge it on the shoe with the spunge until satisfied. Let dry for as many hours required. For the finishing touch - apply top coat for the glue.

- glitterspray (recommended)
Easiest way but also the trickiest. You need sprayglitter and a topcoat for the spray as a protection. Cover parts with aluminium foil and spray the parts you want to be sparkling. Keep the spray about 4-5 inches away from the shoe for best effect.
Let dry for a day. Finish with the protection layer of the topcoat.

Another option but takes a lot of time. Buy glitterpen in wanted colour and spread it on the shoe. Smudge with a spunge until the shoe is covered in all parts. Again finish with a topcoat.

D's favourite bangle since 2007 is from the main Swarovski brand and cost around £ 105.

Newtownards hairdresser Sharon Malcolm, owner of Sharon Malcolm Hairdressing.

Mum-to-be, and winner of the Best TV Star trophy at the Elle Style Awards, Dannii Minogue, topped the poll of favourite female hair styles, followed by her fellow judge, Cheryl Cole.

Later this year Dannii and her friend Tabitha Somerset-Webb will launch the premium womenswear Project D. Thanks to Drapersonline, we have gotten more details on their project and how they plan to expand it.

The pair are now targeting a raft of premium and womenswear independents with the range. Harvey Nichols and Selfridges have already bought into the range.

Minogue is set to take on premium bridge brands such as See by Chloé, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Twenty8-Twelve with the collection and wholesale prices ranging from £78 for a one-shoulder silk dress to £180 for a black sequinned maxi-dress.

Stand-out pieces include floaty tea dresses in georgette and silk, a strapless, black maxi dress in silk chiffon with a silver metallic beaded front panel, and a cream and brown mottled print worked into a three-quarter sleeve dress.

Beading, embellishment and bold prints are an integral part of the collection. The first drop will hit stores in late June.

Tabitha says she is very excited about Project D:

I am not moving away from bags and Tabitha will keep going, but I am very excited about starting to work on a clothing range. I’m really loving the new challenge and adding new skills to my repertoire

According to the website, they will expand 'into an accessories range and a women’s fragrance' later this year.

For the final of X Factor 2009 which saw Dannii's girl Stacey Solomon take the bronze medal, Dannii went for designer Osman Yousefzada. The grecian full length dress made an impact as many of the dresses she wore on the show did.

In today's Evening Standard, the Afghan-British designer who is getting bigger by the minute, talks about his dresses and famous women spotted in them. He is fan of Dannii because unlike most celebrities who expects freebies, Ms Minogue pays for everything herself.

Dannii's Glamour cover has been praised by many fashionistas. The hair, the McQueen dress, the happy face she expresses and also the Make Up. Make Up artist Mary Greenwell has blogged about Ms Minogue's look and how we all can achieve it.
For inspiration it's no suprise that Dannii's style icon Liz Taylor was used.
Greenwell explains their similairities:

Dannii has that bobbed dark hair and wonderful blue/green eyes that have exactly the same intensity as Elizabeth Taylor, so…yes you guessed…who better to inspire the look for this cover and inside pictures than the grand Dame herself?

The hair was so easy: backcomb, curl, give it lots of volume and poof…you have it! The face, I have to say, was just as easy! There is an extraordinary resemblance between the two beauties, Liz and Dannii. Both have great bone structure, fine nose, huge eyes, strong brows and a wonderfully full mouth – so first I made up the skin, which is a combination of great foundation, concealer and highlighter. A little bit of base at the end of your nose is no longer enough to get that perfect finished look, it takes a lot more work and products to achieve that!

What we need now is foundation - it has to be one that blends in well to your colouring and is the texture that suits your skin. As always, the better the skin, the lighter the texture. I dabbed this over her face and blended it well into the hairline and under the chin with my fingers

Next I used concealer just where it’s needed, directly on pimples and blemishes and any red areas, like around the nose. I apply it with a brush and dab it with my finger until it’s blended. A thick concealer is best for this – my new favourite being Vichy Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation cream-stick. Then, to highlight under the eyes and sculpt the cheek area I used a highlight pen. My favourite is still Guerlain or Dior – there is nothing to beat these two!

Blush.....None! Keep the look wonderfully pale. If the face makeup is well applied, your skin will already look fantastic. Sweep shimmery powder over the entire face for luminosity and a glowing, fresh complexion. Now we move on to a dark smoky eye. It’s all about black and dark browns and greys, with the intensity on the eye itself. Lots of dark shadow in the lid and into the socket is perfect, and a good palette to achieve this look is one from Dior – Night Dust No.790. Next, fill in the roots of the lashes with your favourite black pencil, Elizabeth Arden’s smoky black, and then apply one coat of black mascara. Then apply gorgeous thick false lashes, but if you find this too difficult then just use single ones on the outside corners. Remember that the black pencil in the roots of the lashes will help to hide the glue…Now use another coat of mascara to blend your own real lashes with the false ones.

Dannii’s brows are strong anyway, so we didn’t need to fill them in but if your brows are too thin or pale, fill them in using a dark brown powder (I recommend Laura Mercier Brow Powder colour duo), making a modern straight shape.

Finally, the lips…go nude. Use your finger to press a sheer layer of concealer onto the lips and then top with a shimmer-free nude lipstick and a clear gloss.

Dannii was awarded TV best @ the annual Elle Style Awards 2010. Dressed in a canary yellow silk gown by one of her favourite Aussie labels Lisa Ho, she once again showed the world who has got The X Factor. She is also showing mums-to-be that being pregnant shouldn't affect your style.

She was accompanied by her friend and co-designer pal Tabitha Webb - or Tabs. The two women have been spotted preparing for photoshoots and working on their designs. @ the event Dannii was asked about Project D and she said:

"I’ve started designing my own label with a friend of mine, Tabitha. It’s really a nerve-wracking thing and I'm having all these conversations with my friends who are designers about production and manufacturing. It’s so exciting, sometimes I can’t sleep at night because I’m doing designs and sketches, I love it."

As part of the fairytale princess syndrom, most women want to appear smaller.
But not Dannii. She loves her platforms and they are getting higher and higher, kind of like her career that keeps on sky rocketing.

Her accessories were in gold and dark red. She is often seen wearing a poppy and this time she chose to wear it as a ring.

Dannii has been sporting stripes in black & pepper lately. When she arrived to the U.K she was wearing a sateen jacket, jeans, a black&white striped top and a matching headband.

Tabitha herself tweeted the following:
